Joan Miro’ in Sorrento

August 8 @ 8:00 am October 12 @ 5:00 pm

Curved lines, stars, eyes, floating shapes, birds, moons, celestial bodies, archaic signs. Joan Miró’s artistic universe is populated by symbols that are never random, but rather tools for expressing the invisible. Miró did not want to represent reality as it is, but to translate it into visual poetry. To do so, he constructed a personal language, made of essential yet meaningful signs. 🔵 Deep blue for him was the color of dreams and infinity. 🔴 Red expressed strength, passion, vital energy. 🟡 Yellow became light, revelation. ⚫ Black lines traced connections between worlds: the earthly and the imaginary. ✴️ Stars symbolize the desire to go beyond limits. 👁 The recurring eyes are windows to the soul and consciousness. 🐦 Birds represent the freedom of art, the need to rise, escape, create. This fantastical alphabet allowed Miró to communicate universally, beyond words, speaking directly to the viewer’s subconscious. 🖼 Want to see these symbols up close and discover them in their purest form? Until October 12th, the exhibition “Joan Miró – The Enchantment of Signs” awaits you at 📍 Villa Fiorentino | Corso Italia, 53 – SORRENTO
