Twenty years of waves and stories: Meta celebrates “Together with the Friends of the Sea” On August 23rd and 24th, the pearl of the Sorrento Peninsula celebrates two days of free sailing amid breathtaking views and maritime tradition. Meta (NA) – There are traditions that endure, renewed every year with the freshness of the first time. Stories that become shared heritage, a living part of the soul of a region. The 20th edition of “Together with the Friends of the Sea,” scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th, 2025, is one of those experiences that exudes the scent of saltiness, passion, and community. Organized with tireless dedication by the Friends of the Sea Association and sponsored by the Municipality of Meta, the event has become an unmissable event for residents and visitors. A weekend of free excursions along the picturesque coastline of the Sorrento Peninsula, departing from the beach owned by the association—adjacent to Lido Resegone—aboard Sorrento gozzos and launches, true gems of traditional boatbuilding, cared for and made available by members.
